Yeah it's a pain. After a jump my chain seems to move a notch on the cassette! I've tried to use a gear that'd cause more tension. It's not every jump but enough to ask in here?
Any help pls much appreciated
hardtail or full sus? if it's full sus look at your cable routing, it may flex when you land and then not settle correctly when the suspension rights itself.
if its a hard tail check the rear mech tension, you know the little screw on earlier mechs that hits on the stop of the mech hanger, if a later style mech without the screw maybe your mech is on the way out.
loads of variables.
Gear outers too short can cause ghost shifting
It's a full sus. Had a pretty good smash not too long ago and shaved quite a bit of the rear cable housing off near the cassette. I've taped it up as the cable threads was starting to look it needed some tlc. I'm trying to remember if this used to happen pre crash? Hmmm
sounds like your gear outers are too short at full compression so the rear mech is moving as you bottom it out.
New inner and outer time i reckon for reasons above
