Hi folks. Looking to change the budget tyres that came on my hardtail but literally can't decide what combo to run. I do a mixture of light trails, XC & just general adventuring in the local woods so I'm not sure if I need something like Schwalbe Racing Ray/Racing Ralph's, WTB Vigilante/Trail Boss or the usual DHF/DHR combo.
I've also looked at maybe like a Continental Mountain King/X King combo & Vittoria Barzo/Mezcals but it's trying to find a combo that's not too hardcore but not also too XC speed orientation so I guess something that's more of an all-year set up that works decent in most conditions? Generally can't decide what's best so just seeing what people's preferences are.
Just to add I need tyres around 2.25-2.35 width with 2.35 probably being the max.

Barzo’s/mezcal r2 bikes sell this combo get the TNT versions
Jonny are they a good set up for a mixture of XC/trail? I've seen the Barzos have good reviews & I gotta say the graphene ones with the grey sidewalls look niiiiice! Wanting something durable too do they tick the boxes?
I use the TNT 2.35s in that. I'd say you're ****ed in the woods in winter, but out on ridges on hardpack they'll be more than durable enough and very fast.
