the tyre that did not explode last night
this tyre was only inflated to 40 - 45lbs as suggested from last nights thread
thismorning it was nearly flat and when i got home from work it was completely flat
i put some stans tyre liquid in (via the valve - not by taking the tyre off) re fitted the valve core and reinflated to 40 - 45lbs
i then "span" the wheel while it was on the bike
everything seemed good
i started another job and then "bang" the tyre exploded!
what in gods name am i doing wrong?
oh! it exploded? or banged impressively with a bang off the rim?
you sure you know how much you inflated??
could be the tube God angry...
hmm, not experienced a tyre explosion (run mine at 38ps), but did have problems getting the air not to leak.
In fact it took me over 5 days of the "shaking around the wheel while rotating", then leaving it horizontally. Now its been two weeks and air is not escaping anymore.
when i say "exploded" i mean banged impressively with a bang off the rim
however, the tyre will nor seal at all and won't take any air or inflate at all
It a shite system, put a tube in, it'll go up first time, and it won't leak...
HTH
Are you using proper UST tyres and UST rims?
yes ust tyres (Schwalbe Racing Ralph Tubeless) on bontrager tubeless (i have been running other tubeless tyres on these rims for 18 months) racelite rims
