[#694112]

the tyre that did not explode last night
this tyre was only inflated to 40 - 45lbs as suggested from last nights thread
thismorning it was nearly flat and when i got home from work it was completely flat
i put some stans tyre liquid in (via the valve - not by taking the tyre off) re fitted the valve core and reinflated to 40 - 45lbs
i then "span" the wheel while it was on the bike
everything seemed good

i started another job and then "bang" the tyre exploded!

what in gods name am i doing wrong?

hmm, not experienced a tyre explosion (run mine at 38ps), but did have problems getting the air not to leak.

In fact it took me over 5 days of the "shaking around the wheel while rotating", then leaving it horizontally. Now its been two weeks and air is not escaping anymore.

when i say "exploded" i mean banged impressively with a bang off the rim
however, the tyre will nor seal at all and won't take any air or inflate at all

It a shite system, put a tube in, it'll go up first time, and it won't leak...
