Never really looked into going tubeless before but now i'm wondering, i have Mavic EN 321 rims, are these 'tubeless' rims, 'tubeless ready' or just a complete pain to get regular tyres on?
Apart from the obvious - tubeless tyres - what else will i need to convert these rims to tubeless assuming they can be converted?

As far as I know they are just normal rims, so all you will need is something like the stans notubes kit.

That's it.

Cheers for that, i did wonder if they were some form of tubeless-type rim 'cos they appear to have some sort of 'lip' around the inside edge that makes fitting tyres a real PITA.

Like that? That's what all clincher rims are like isn't it? Shouldn't really effect how hard it is to get a tyre on that much, you pushing the bead into the well all the way around?

For whatever reason they are a LOT more difficult to get a tyre onto than any of my other rims - wire or kevlar - so just wondered.

I had a tubeless kit (Eclipse) in the cupboard for a couple of years and had forgotton about it. This weekend a decision was made to put it onto my back wheel (DT Swiss XR 4.2 with a tube type tyre Schwalbe Racing Ralph Evo). So far I'm impressed. It lost a bit of air over the first 24 hours but has seemed to keep it's pressure since.

Having a firm suspension system on my bike (Giant NRS) I can say that it feels a lot more comfortable than before, same tyre with Michelin Latex inner tube. Perhaps it's just me being on form but I have the impression that I advance a bit better and have more grip.

Wish I'd have done it ages ago, will see in the long term as to how it holds up.
