[#13534682]

i just got a new pair of roval wheels for my chisel fs bike yesterday and wanted to get them added to my warranty list on my specialized account. the site said to read the qr code on the wheels which i tried but nothing comes up at all when i try to read the qr code with my mobile camera (usually a web site link will come up to click when reading qr codes on my phone).

any idea why it's not reading the code?

thanks 🙂

Do you need to read them via the Specialized app?  I seem to remember doing something like that when I registered my Diverge's Roval wheels 2 years ago.

Does your phone read other QR codes Ok? It sounds like you may need to install a QR code reader app from Google Play or Apple App Store...

yes, my camera can usually read q r codes fine and i did also install a specific q r reader app on my android phone, but it doesn't recognise either front or rear q r codes on my wheels (no link comes up at all for either wheel q r). no worries will go to my local bike shop next week where i bought them to see if they can get the serial numbers.

My Terra CLs came with a build list. The serial numbers were on that.

For future ref:

Is it actually a QR code?  Most phones read QR, but most production data is in 2D datamatrix codes.  Does it have 3 'targets' in the corners (QR) or are 2 of the edges solid lines (Datamatrix).  If it's a datamatrix, then you just need a suitable app.
