I've seen a Trek Remedy for sale about an hour from my house, size 17.5. This would seem perfect for me based on every bike I've ever owned being either a medium or a 17in, but the sizing guide suggests this is for someone who's 5ft5. I'm 5ft9. Anyone got any experience of this? It's a 2018 Remedy 9.7.

Got a decent dealer near by? They had me sized up really quick when I went in to the Manchester one

I’m 5ft 11 on a 18.5 2018 Fuel and I like the size, previous 19.5 felt a little big.

It's only an hour away but I know what I'm like. I'll throw my leg over, want it, buy it convincing myself it's the right size, and it'll be on the classifieds in 6 months for half the price I paid for it.

Just wondered if anyone had one. I ride a medium 26in trance at the moment and it's pretty much perfect

Nobody understands trek sizing. My exact remedy frame was sold as 2 different sizes in different years, the frame was identical but they decided to measure it differently. Just judge it on the geometry not the random number generator.

I suspect 18.5 could be the way to go unfortunately. I'm 5ft9 with I'd say average size limb to body length

Trek still do the annoying 'virtual' sizing. My 2019 Remedy 8 is a 19.5, but the actual measurement is 18.5. Stupid eh? So you need to know which measurement the size stated is referring to because you'll potentially buy the wrong size. If the frame is actually 17.5 on a tape measure then it might be good, but it could be a virtual 17.5 which will mean 16.5. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.....

just watch the sizing if you want to run a dropper. due to the kink in the seat tube you can't slam the dropper so the bike ends up being about a size bigger in the seat tube dept, something Trek don't seem to take into account on their full sus models or size guide
