Is it a trail dog if it cuts across the trail so that you run it over, rushes off into the forest to investigate anything interesting, and enthusiastically scoffs a load of unsuitable looking toadstools?

Video of braddersm

We used to have a GSP trail dawg. And it could get run over and then head off to eat something unsavoury.

Thanks for posting the video properly Lionheart.

My dog out front is just hell bent on running fast and just trying to stay ahead of me, no matter what we do with him. Missus uses him for canicross and he pulls like a train. The other on the other hand goes into panic if he gets out of sight of us so never strays too far. For gundogs they're suprisingly not interested in anything when we've got them going full pelt. It's the rest of the time they're in hunt mode
