Geraint's comment after the GB Team Pursuit squad obliterated the competition and recorded a new track record only fractions of a second off the World Record: "Yeah, that was alright" 🙂

so, what's an omnium then and why is it better than a pursuit/points ?

Omnium is like the decathlon on track bikes, (though there is presumably 8 events) It's better than persuit/points because they are all trying to be positive as lots of other options are expected to be denied for the 2012 olympics.

I see tthew. Funnily enough, they seemed mostly to think it was a shit idea but were resigned to the changes
