Looking at the possibility of doing the Wessex Way long distance off road route and camping. Thinking of carrying the load in a cycle trailer instead of panniers, anyone ever tried this or got any thoughts or feedback on the route?

single wheel bobyak type is the best on rough ground I have used mine to collect fire wood and it is quite stable loaded

Touring with a BOB trailer is great fun. You'll be amazed at how much traction you have with the extra weight on the rear wheel.

Somewhere between Cultus Lake and Waldo Lake, Oregon

i have a BOB which i mostly use for hauling free firewood home from work and shopping.
Havent toured with it yet but like the idea of it esp for winter camping to carry lots of warm clothing!, its a great piece of kit.
Maybe use it this winter for a planned Southern Upland Way ride over a weeks hols...

also use it for chainsaw transport for trail clearing

Make sure your trailer is totally reliable. If it breaks you've got big problems as it's possible to push a broken bike, but not both bike and trailer. I speak from bitter experience!
