I'm in a thoroughly modern predicament...after upgrading my cross bike to discs
I am left with unsightly brake tracks. I hate the rough, matte silver finish.
Argos Cycles suggested it wasnt worth the cost of having the rims (Stans 340s) repainted. Fair enough. However, I figure they're PoV is that of a professional.
I was wondering, is there a tough black spray paint that'll look better and last longer (and be quicker) than me going at the rims with a Sharpie?
If you're worried about the silver brake track looking shit, have a go with a sharpie. It'll make the bits you haven't done yet look marvellous by comparison.

Not got to trying the paint yet, but one side of the front rim looks like a child has been at it with a felt tip.
Which isn't so far from the truth.
Ha, should have refined my search words! Cheers. Dont know what worse tbh, the purple look or the naked alloy ๐
I'm going to give this a go.

I'll let you know how I get on.
Edit: water based. Maybe not.
I was thinking bingo dabbers (but probably solvent free for the sake of all the old dears)
