I'm thinking about getting a torque wrench for some bicycle maintenance tasks.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Norbar are good, but not cheap - I bought one (SL0 I think it is) for the lower end (2-20Nm) 'cos that's what I'm more worried about stripping, but may well look for something cheaper for the 20-70Nm range (eg for bottom brackets..)
The Norbar one looks like a good option. I don't mind paying out for proper tools and they seem to be available for about the same price as that BBB one.
I'm happy for more recommendations though
I have a draper one seems reet
+1 for BBB
Good for most bike jobs unless it specifies a torque setting of "bastard tight"
you'll probably need two at least. One for low torques like the ~5Nm for doing up bolts on carbon, and another to do the bigger bolts. Be aware that torque wrenches are less accurate at the extremes of their scales.
I've got the two park ones. Not been a fan of deflection beam types before but I get on well with these.
I have three Snap-On torque wrenches for varying degrees of torque! Lovely bits of kit and I can spend a while just looking and feeling them!!
