Anyone from here racing over the weekend?  It’ll be interesting what to expect from a COVID based race organisation.

Well this is great news so far, I might stand a chance of a podium 😀

Not racing, but I have done a few laps of the planned course. Expect the usual Gorrick style fun course. Lots of twisty singletrack, no big climbs but the course is rarely flat. I would say it will be a fairly tough course for the longer races, due to how twisty and undulating it is. Nothing too technical - my 11 year old daughter can ride all of it. The amount of singletrack might make passing difficult so as always a good start will be important. I have only done one 'fast' lap of the course and there wasn't much opportunity to take a drink, so if you are doing more than 2 hours, make an conscious effort to eat and drink regularly.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks Jason, I’m in for Sunday’s 8hr with a well rehearsed nutrition plan and much experience of long races an Newnham and 4hrs with Gorrick but never at Area 51.
