Hi,

I've bought a Topeak Joe blow sport digital. Turned up- guage didn't work

A replacement has turned upt today- guage doesn't work.

Seems like it's a me problem- any suggestions? It's one of these.

Pushed guage button- nothing

Pumped up tire- pump works fine, nothing on guage

Pushed and held/ double pushed button- nothing.

Before I return it a second time how do I get the guage to work?????

Thanks for any suggestions!

Have you pulled out the bit of plastic that stops the battery working before it is used for the first time, most digital products have them?

I'm on my second one. First replaced under warranty. Both just constantly turn on the display whilst sat doing nothing, which of course just kills the battery eventually. Shame, because it's a good pump otherwise. I need to email topeak/Merlin.

No not tried looking for a film in the batteries.

Everything I've had with that has had it written in the instructions manual.

I'll give it a go.

Hmm, that's a mild worry. Everything I've had from Topeak has worked with out a hitch.

Apart from a road pump that failed mid ride.

Well no film in the batteries.

However both batteries were flat. Swapped some new batteries in and ...

It works.

So maybe a design fault and it's been sat on in a warehouse and both pumps have run the batteries down.

I seem to remember the batteries having little stickers on them to peel off. Hopefully yours doesn't have the same issue as mine!
