Arrived at remote holiday cottage in hills behind Tomintoul late afternoon. Wood burner on and glass of Tomintoul 16yr old in hand. Hopefully an early rise and a few hrs riding Glenlivet estate before the family surface 🙂

Morrison's own brand cider 🙂

After yesterdays marathon green goblin in the pub session, followed by a marathon Westons cloudy scrumpy session, I am broke (again!)

Morrison's is far better than white lightning 🙂

Just finished busy day at work so it's a couple of pints of Guinness.

There's a rather splendid 2007 Chateau Clerc-Milon waiting for me at home.

Sainsbury's Red Label tea. 🙁

I decided, nearly 3 weeks ago, that I'd stop drinking for a while.

I'm not planning on making it to 4 weeks. 😛

I got to thinking that for the last 20 years (at least), when I've not been on nightshift, I've had a drink (or eight), so I decided to have a few weeks off.
Me and the wife'll be out in Wakefield on Friday night, a steak and a bottle of wine or two in The Cow Shed, then down to the Red Shed for some real ale. Sorted. 😉

I'll be in Stourton next Saturday night, I'm afraid. 🙁 12 hour nightshifts.

We'd've been there otherwise. Keep me up to date with the gatherings, Big 'un, I'll make one, one day.

Nothing after this mornings hangover, life maybe too short to abstain from fun - but it's even shorter when you have to sleep off hangovers and lose half the day

Never again....(ish)
