... was quite eventful. I was only out for a quick spin as I am off to watch Wanderers spank Roverrs later (please God). Anyhoo, I set off along the A666 to find a tranny van on it's side with the front smashed in with the OB in attendance. The off road and a lovely crisp frosty route down to Turton Tower and round Wayoh. I stopped to take pic with my iPhone and then stuck it back in the marsupial pocket on the front of my Buffalo jacket. A little while later I checked my pocket to find ... no phone!! aaaaargh!
There was a trail of flames coming off my tyres and I flew back to find it. Forunately it was quite early and so nobody was about and I found it part way down a little rocky descent. Phew!!

I live in Stockport but frequently work in Bolton town centre and have been thinking of taking my bike with me in the summer for a couple of hours ride in the evening.
Any route advice is appreciated. I have customers in Horwich so was thinking htis would be a good start point for Winter Hill area.
