Quite enjoyed it! I did feel a bit short changed after one loop so did it again. Best bit IMO was the bit that starts adjacent to the main road!

Usual case of insider knowledge I take it. I'll have to try and tap some locals up next time.

be careful asking locals if you're going for an evening ride, there are a lot of doggers around the chase and "anyone fancy taking me up some muddy singletrack" is likely to elicit a worrying response.

Even worse they could be some of the weirdo single speeders that inhabit the darker bits of the chase in which case they'll kidnap you and brainwash you until having a beard and smelling of phil woods bearing grease seems like a good idea.
