[#1091071]

Further to my thread below... I need to get a Ti bottom bracket shell re-threaded, any suggestions on who could do the job (London based would be nice ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and no, I won't use Kaesae! ๐Ÿ˜†

Not London based but Argos Cyclesare excellent at repairs, customer service etc.

Whilst they do not specialize in Ti it may be worth a phonecall? I've used them a number of times - they also take in repairs via the post rather than traveling to Bristol.

Hope this may help....

thanks chap, I've dropped them an email (though I think the Ti might be an issue?)

I emailed Vernon Barker and he's come back saying it can't be done... that's a bit of a concern! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Mark Reilly at Enigma. Not London but Sussex so not too far away. Not sure whether they will only repair/alterations to their own frames though.

Can you not just fill the threads with molten brass and retap?

(any competent mechanic should be able to do this)

Not sure... what about the existing threads, if they're out of whack?

Or use a BB that does not need threads.
Few options availiable - google for more info.
