They're just under £60 with VIP
Not had a workstand before so anything is better than working on the kitchen floor.
Any one got one?
Any good?

I've had one for years, does the job but I find it unstable. Usually have a bag of sand over the legs to stop tipping.

I've got one, I'm very happy with it - not found it to be unstable at all. I'm wondering how it could be tipping over so that a bag of sand would help TBH.

Spot on, as said can be a little unstable so weight the legs. The stand is very sturdy and well worth the money.

Had mine from Merlin for years too - 'tis the envy of my friends (sadly). It's one of those things - like a track pump, a decent tool kit (that came with the stand in a wicked deal at the time), the digital readout thing for the Camelbak and my RoadID band that I wouldn't be without.

So saying - if anyone's rigged up a tray for it (or made another manufacturer's fit), that would be most interesting.

Bargain.

Does it fold away easily? What size when compacted?

It looks like the same one as EBC sell for £50.

http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebwPNLqrymode.a4p?f_ProductID=5379&f_SupersetQRY=Kworkstand&f_SortOrderID=-1&f_bct=

Interestingly they also do a tray for £9.99 - http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebwPNLqrymode.a4p?f_ProductID=9811&f_SupersetQRY=Kwork%20stand%20tray&f_SortOrderID=-1&f_bct=

I reckon it would probably fit the biketools one but I've never got round to checking.

Same as the Revolution one from Edinburgh Bicycles, £49 I believe! Top job!

If you can clamp the top tube they are great. But as I can only clamp my seat post there is just too much torque on the plastic jaws and they flex loads.

The stand part is great. The plastic head assembly isn't.

I think there is a version with a gold aluminium head part (but still plastic clamps). This is the one that got high marks in reviews several years ago but all the cheap ones these days seem to have black plastic head assemblies.

But compared to working on a bike without a workstand pretty much anything is a Godsend.
