A couple of hours with Jedi and some nice Conti Pros and they'd be able to get down those tracks no problem!

But is it OK to turn your bike upside down to fix those wheels?

What do you call that period of time between getting it wrong, riding along on your front wheel as you slowly pivot around the front axle knowing you are going over the bars? in my experience it seems to go on a long time and there is nothing you can do to stop the inevitable happening. That period of time needs a name, because I can say f*ck f*ck a lot of times in that seemingly short time span.

It's known as one of the most amazing feelings in the world and I love it. It's just a great bonus to come out of it and walk away. I don't try hard enough to experience it these days.

One of those moments almost happened to me at the weekend, thank god I was on a 29er! The video certainly kept me amused during this silly hour of feeding the toddler

Precisely why I had stayed well clear of this activity.
Broken bones hurt.

The ones where they roll are bad, but the ones where they come to rapid stop against something solid like the guy at 1:17 are really cringe inducing, ouch!

Am I the only person who cannot see the enjoyment in being that far out of control?

The enjoyments comes from being on the edge of control, unfortunately these guys have stepped over that fine line!

I think it's called "oh shiiiii" but some of those guys are going so fast and the ground is so lumpy (or far away) they'd have chance to rattle through most of a profanisaurus before they hit dirt.
