Thin tubeless tape for Spank Oohbah/Beadbite

Need some rim tape for Spank Oohbah shaped rims - they're more a W shape than the standard U shape - and also feature beadbite - tiny ridges for the bead of the tyre to reduce burping. Thick tape such as Stans or that Tesa stuff just doesn't work - it just sits on top of the ridges not sticking causing issues with seating (even in warm conditions) and doesn't conform that well to the w shape profile. Tried some Lifeline stuff but it wasn't wide enough.

What I really want is the 32mm Fratelli tape they originally had (which I needed to remove due to rebuild) but only seems to be available in 25mm.

I found an old forum post where Kapton tape was mentioned and despite someone else saying it's way too thin, I bought some. While it bears a resemblance to Fratelli tape it is indeed super thin! Getting the tyre on needed persuasion with lever which ripped the tape (all 3 layers of it).

Fratelli tape is much thicker than Kapton, but much thinner than Stans/Tesa.

Someone must have these rims and know what tape works on them.... Please!

I have some Spank Spikes, 28mm internal. I don’t remember what tape is in them but suspect it is 19mm Tessa/Stans in the well of the rim not covering the bead bite bit.

I have standard insulating tape doing the tubeless role on my fatbike rims.

Yep, good quality pvc insulating tape, I use 3m temflex but tbh any decent quality stuff does just fine. Available in a range of widths too.

(IIRC from mine, those rims are welded and sealed so you're only taping the spoke holes really? In which case, a narrow tape works better- if you only tape the centre, you get a less strong taping admittedly but because it's only in the recess, the tyre doesn't touch it during removal. The #1 reason for tubeless tape failure by far is when it gets damaged when you're removing a tyre)
