Spesh SIPs looked pretty good when I had a scan in the LBS the other day.

These are really really good. And cheap. Get them (better get a few) while there is still stock.

The Superstars work well, are cheap, and wear quickly. Called 'Size Zero'. They're long too - 150mm - good for running wide bars.

Ragley do some. Thin but utterly, utterly rubbish. To start off they're quite soft and nice but after a bit of use they harden up and kinda glaze over meaning they're lethal in damp conditions. Avoid.

ESI grips race.

Thin lock ons usually mean just less shock absorbent rubber over the hard shell.

ESI grips are all nice soft shock absorbing stuff right down to your bar.

Spesh single lockons are the best thin ones I've tried. They look very similar to the Pro XCRs in fact.

(I've tried SS, Charge Sponge, Sunlines (briefly))

Mattjg they're 134mm long. And when you run your hands on the ends of the bars, the lockrings really do hurt after a while. 🙁

Lurchh ta. If in your natural position you are holding the ends of the bars, maybe try wider bars.

The Superstars are 150mm, I run them on wide bars (725 & 750mm), this gives me a lot of options on hand position, in most rides I use most of the space at some time.

another vote for Sunline Logo thins, I've got them on two bikes:
- nice and plain
- super grippy without being sticky
- thin
- hard wearing
- available in different colours
what's not to like?

Superstar Size Zero - nice'n'wide, but thin too. Great for £9.

This, I've tried a few different lock on grips, and comfort wise, none of them come anywhere close to the Renthal kevlar grips I'm running now, as long as you glue them on they won't go anywhere!

the enormous cuffs at the in-board ends

it's hardly enormous, not like it's a BMX style flange
having said that, I did trim the rubber on mine so that the shifters didn't foul on it

Already running 800mm Nukeproof bars 🙂 I just prefer to put my hands at the ends
