Having nicely raked my shin with the pins of a flat pedal late last week while trying to teach myself to bunny hop in flats I have just had a very satisfying scab picking session. It's the first time in years that I've done that and it almost, almost made up for the pain felt when the hop went wrong. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I did persevere and get the whole bike around 4 inches of the deck, woo and hoo for me!

You'll realise the up-side when you watch someone stack and not be able to release themselves quick enough from their clip-ins. When I'm doing a somersault I'd rather not be taking my bike with me.

You might land it though.

Has anyone ever front fliped (deliberately) a bike with SPD's?

Once did a cracking rolling endo once coming up to a gate with my mates. Well, it was until I went past the point of no return. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Oh how my mates laughed. Flats all the way now for me.

that would be me. In Morzine. In 2009.

took me a long time to get used to flats, now the float in SPDs makes me feel insecure and I wont be going back.

The only time I use SPD's now is on the singlespeed
Only cos I have not got another pair of flats
But since returning to flats my riding has improved, along with my shin scars ๐Ÿ˜€

Flats only here too. It means I can use my bike to nip to the pie shop.
