That's what you get when you buy a cheap mail order bike.

My experience with canyon was brilliant and the bike has been faultless for three years of heavy abuse and very little maintenance
I had exactly the same experience with Canyon. Estimated delivery times forever going backwards. I didn't whinge about it though, I bought a YT.
It's an expectations game.
They are great riding and very good value bikes.
Something has to give somewhere.
You want immediate delivery,good service.Buy a Trek from an Lbs...for about 25% extra ££££'s.
I would still buy one.
Great experience here too and sweet bike.

I bought a bike from them a couple of years ago and it arrived in about 10 days, as forecast. I know some people have had nightmares with waits on really popular models or the issues they had a few months back (think they did a major IT update and it went wrong didn't they?) but given the number of bikes they must sell they generally seem to do a good job. Doesn't help with your situation and I know you're just venting your frustration but warning people to avoid them is probably a bit OTT
3 months without mine so far, I've finally got a payment link for the rocker arm I've been trying to order for that time. Will post up when it arrives maybe in a couple of months!
Learned with canyon the hard way that the after sales service is non existent, warranty brakes taking months, they won't supply any bearings etc even for a headset or part numbers, can't fault the bike for the price but wouldn't do it again, I think companies like whyte and bird are the way forward. Not convinced the price difference is worth it now given they've fixed their uk prices very poorly compared to the euro.

Blimey..... 😯
Bought two bikes from Canyon, both delivered in the timescales advertised.
Broke a small frame component due to my ham fisted maintenance, dropped them an e-mail asking for a price on a replacement, they sent one back the next day asking for my address and they would stick said part in the post FOC.
Only positives here for my Canyons that have done in excess of 5000 miles with little more than a clean and lube.
Plus they look great!
They might have been good before, but the recent factory move, and new ordering system, have turned into a proper shitstorm. It was supposed to take a weekend and it's still ongoing a couple of months later.
Victim of their own success at the moment.
My bike is great, when the frame developed a crack it was sorted in days. Other customer service contact has been exceptional.
I'd buy again, just not right now.
No problems with YT the 2 times we've bought from them. And in my opinion they make better bikes. I've never been impressed with the Canyons that I've tried. They've just not been as good or as fun as the competition.
