Does anyone make a 1L bottle that will fit in a bottle cage?

I have loads of room on my FS mtb and ditched the pack entirely but looking to carry as much water as possible for those big days out

Most 1l squash bottles fit ok IME. Maybe not every style of cage, but they fit in all of mine ok.

Will 950ml suffice?

Corsa also available, but I prefer the Fly bottles

(FWIW I’ve found that Elite bottles hold more than stated, no idea why they do that)

I've got ab Elite Corsa that's apparently 950ml, probably 1L if you brim it.

I think Zefal do. A 1L they call a 'magnum' also...

Maybe change the question to the biggest bottle cages that fits bottles?

eg you can get 1.5l bottles into this

Or something possibly sturdier and can possibly handle 2l?:

Loving the thought of carrying 1 kg extra in a stupid expensive gram counting carbon cage.

I'm sure my Elite bottle is 1 litre, it flares out a bit towards the top where it doesn't interfere with the bottle cage, and obviously is also quite long.

I usually ride without a pack and my solution for longer, or hotter rides where I want more than a normal bottle can hold is to supplement it with a 250ml or 500ml soft runners bottle in a pocket and drink from that first.

This sort of thing

When empty they squash up to nothing.

The Zefal Magnum Pro is the best ~1l bottle that I have tried.

The various Elite ones are a bit too floppy and fall out.

The Zefal Magnum (non-Pro) is a bit too hard to drink from and the "Pro" version is so much better.

The SIS bottle is very good but a kilo of water is heavy when drinking. I used one between the aero bars on my last 12h TT. I was panicking about not stopping for the first couple of hours on an excursion off to Hereford and the skin suit bladder running dry. As it happened, I didn’t take a sip of the bottle but carried the extra kilo over the hills and back 🤣. For hundred mile rides I take two in frame cages.

The Decathlon 950ml ones seem ok and at least one version comes with a mud flap thingamajig good for mountain-biking in crud.

I have an Avex 32oz bottle.  Had it several years so couldn't tell you where to get one

I've a set of these for bike packing. Allows for the bottle to be set lower and gives more room for a frame bag. Might also help fit a larger bottle in your frame.
