Isn't there a famous rest day story from the Hinault/Lemond tour ?
Hinault is in the team hotel, layed up on the massage bed and busy conserving energy whilst giving interviews.
At which point he looks up at the TV to see pictures of a smiling Lemond playing a nice restful round of golf.

Cav on Twitter:
"My hotel room for the rest day has 1 electrical socket & a plastic chair. I shall say no more on the matter."

I'll bet Wiggo has 2 sockets minimum.
Froome - who knows?

How many sockets do you think you'd need?

Froome - who knows?

Lance never had any sockets. He relied on team mates to provide extension leads.

Oh dear, Matt Slater (bbc hack) reporting on his twitter feed:

"Breaking news from #TdF: French police have raided Cofidis team hotel"

For me twitter has really increased my enjoyment of tours in the last few years. Somehow it makes it more personal. It's a bit like watching a stage, you only see them for a few seconds but it makes a connection that drags you in. Love the tour

Year long investigation comes to a head mid-tour? Funny that.

Frenchman rdes for Astana for 1 year a returns as a doper ๐Ÿ˜€

I can't Cofidis pulling out tbh.....I can see Remy having some spare time on his hands for the next 2 years though.

Didn't ask me did he? Disappointing time trials has left me down in the league already, won't be renewing his contract.

Cofidis team seems to have a trouble with drug cheats getting caught every couple of years or so. Do they still have the same team management as they had when Millar and then when Wiggins where there?

Eric Boyer who'd been there since 2005 had just been replaced by Yvon Sanquer because of poor results. Sanquer took over Festina after the doping affair there and Astana after Lance and Johan left.

If this is all true, Cofidis should be kicked out of the tour and never allowed back.

Timing aside, the French police are not shy when it comes to investigating their own riders.

Chapeau I say, if some other countries took the same attitude the peloton could be clean in no time.

Currently an ex Astana rider has been arrested a year after the investigation started when he rode for Astana. This is as little as we know.
A knee jerk reaction would be that Astana should be kicked out. Again...

There is basically no real information out there though about this and he may well be innocent.
