Never been but the wife and I were planning to go over 1 day next week
She's been on the website and it says shut until 23rd as a mark of respect...

Are we safe to assume that's just the hub or is it some sort of gated private land that might be genuinely closed off ?

It is crown estate land and I think all are either employees or tenants of the CE. I don't think it will / can stop casual access, but the bike hire and cafe are I believe closed.

Trails still open, and free parking by the looks of it!

It is with great sadness that we hear the news of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. As a tenant of The Crown Estate, Swinley Bike Hub & The Summit will be respecting the official mourning period and will cease the provision of our services at this time.

Our customers with hire, servicing, coaching and bookings with us have been notified and we will reopen as of Friday 23rd September.

The forest and Car Park (no charges) will remain open through this time for those wishing to visit the forest.

We look forward to seeing you all on the trails again soon.

Team SBH.

Trails and access to the woods are open but the facilities (bike hire, shop and cafe etc ) are shut. The car park is also free...

Yes, the whole forest is closed. Possibly forever.

The most important question is if the employees are getting a full wage or not.

Evening all, and thanks

There may well be some "these aren't the trails you're looking for" going on
