Overdue trip to Peaslake Village stores on Saturday....

What's riding well at the moment? Is Winterfold ok? Is Secret Santa rideable?

Other than that, was just going to try the usual stuff on Holmbury and Pitch. Is it all in order or are there any trees being cut/areas closed at the moment?

thanks!

Pitch & Winterfold, a lot of sloppy mud in places, dry in parts. Big puddles. Holmbury is relatively dry.

Secret Santa 2nd half still rideable, though watch the huge pool in the bottom berm.

Hurtwood land stuff is all generally fine. Some pixie work going on.

Jim's land on Winterfold, much effort to trash the trails and leave debris all over. Carpet Land is the latest victim ๐Ÿ™ . Some rideable but bear in mind the entrances and exits are blocked and it's very clear bikes are not welcome. Oddly while the explanation is the safety risk from forestry work in regards to bikes it seems a fox hunt is perfectly okay having seen them charge through the other day ๐Ÿ™„ (unless they were "trespassing" ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

What's rideable always rides well, even if it's sloppy mud. Just slide ๐Ÿ˜€

New leith hill trail seemed in good condition the other week.

But the real horror is . . . . there are no cakes on the counter in the Peaslake shop. No bannabread, carrot cake or flapjacks.

They are now keeping them in the fridge beyond the till. Phew.
