Can it be run tubeless with just yellow tape or do you need the rubber rimstrip?

I run mine tubeless with Gorilla tape 🙂

I could only get them to work with a ghetto rimstrip (ie with a flap over the bead) for schwalbe TL tyres - they were too loose for me to be happy.
On the other hand a Maxxis wire would under no circumstances fit with the bmx rimstrip. Tape worked fine.
BTW - Great rims: not a single ding from me yet (unusual) and the switch hubs (if thats what you're thinking of?) are proving super reliable.
