Hi Chaps,
A mate at work is after a bike for general duties - going to work, pootling on cycle paths etc. He's 6'5", so needs a big frame - I was thinking a 29er would actually be spot on as he'd look in proportion to the frame and wheels.
Anyone have any suggestions on something sub-£500?
Cheers for the help
Ricks
Trek's come in 23" frame sizes. And they're 29er crazy, maybe there's one sub £500 they do?
Voodoo HooDoo 29er & Islabike Beinn 29 (rigid for £400) to start the ball rolling proper..
Trek Marlin is £525 and the 21" size would be fine for 6'5" (i'm 6'7" and have 29ers in 21"-23" sizes). Here:-

But to be fair, unless he's after something for proper offroad riding, i'd suggest a Hybrid would be better (and cheaper). Again, Trek do plenty in a 22.5" or 25" size which would be fine for him.
In fact i was looking at them at the weekend for my dad who's 6'4" and there were some nice ones in the £400-£500 range.
Trek 8.3DS - hybrid pootling and in a 22.5" frame. There might even be a big Specialized in that sort of price range too.
