A mate wants one. I was thinking Hope R4 from Merlin but what else is there?

The trout lights get good reviews but they are more £ I think. I run a Lumicycle but again, that's more money.

Obviously the cheaper DX lights are a possibility but I think he'd prefer to spend a bit more...

Got myself a Gloworm X2 last week and after three rides with it I'm quite impressed. Noticably nicer light than either the R4 or my MTB Batteries one.

Smudge's new V2000 Lumenator looks good for £115: http://www.mtbbatteries.co.uk/mountain-bike-lights/v2000-lumenator/

There are loads out there

Lumicycle clearance has lights under £200
http://www.lumicycle.com/product/210/clearanceledgroup/led-system.html
or look at a head unit from lumicycle and a battery and charger from Smudge

Luminous lights have lights around your budget too and look to be very high quality.

Smudge at mtbbatteries has lights that would come i under budget that look very good

neninja has a glow worm light that looks good and is also under budget

There is also the mytinysun range of lights that look well built with some under and some over your budget.

Yup, ordered about three o-clock and it was waiting when I got to work the next day at 8.30am. The head mount is very comfortable too - much, much better than those that use the rubber band mounting.

lemonysam - Good to hear you're pleased with your Gloworm X2.

reggiegasket - there's still 3 days left on the £20 off promotion on the Gloworm X2(finishes at midnight 15th Sept) - use GLOWORM20 at the checkout.
