Looking for a good winter close fitting roadie style thermal jacket that'll work over a normal thermal L/S vest. And not a Pertex type top.
I've got a jacket with a sort of laminate front that's just about done me all winter apart from three days where I had to wear pertex over the top.
Problem with that is if the day warms up a bit I get a bit sweaty and get wind chill if I remove it.
Anyone remember the old 80's foam type jackets, they worked.

any good? i thought it was a bit of a bargain! then managed to get a montane extreme smock for £45 new so didnt bother
