I have given first crack to the fatbike guys until 6pm.

I don't know why but moving from my cushy slot on a team of 10 to a solo seems strangely tempting.....
But on balance I think I'm better off keeping an eye on the wood burner and keg of beer while my team mates are getting the laps in.

BTW did a lap today. Course has still got ice but it's generally mushy although some of the steep descents could get a bit exciting if your wheel went on the wrong bit.
It would be nice if the ice etc stayed, but looking at the forecast I suspect it will all be gone soon.

I felt the texture of the mud on the new stretch.
The last thing I handled like that was valve grinding paste.... 🙂
