I've read back and there's a mix of opinions - so simple question - hardtail or FS?

Quad - hardtail.
Solo - FS
Or either. Done it one both solo. It beats you up regardless.

Rigid singlespeed.

FS will drain your legs with the weight over the 24hrs. Hardtail will beat you up. I'm going hardtail for solo, less expensive to fix next week.

I'm taking both, a Nukeproof Mega (I know) and a borrowed Ibis Tranny. I'm planning on riding the ht for as long as I can bear then use the Mega for a bit of comfort during the night.
I take my hat off to all you rigid, ss gods.
