I was riding sick, so I took it easy and took a few pics as I went round.

It would be a lot easier but you have to appreciate how much memory they would need to store all of the uploaded pics onto the STW servers.

Of course STW could always charge per pic uploaded to their sites
to pay for the srvers and maintenance?

Possibly, but this forum has value to them as part of their advertising, and it's one reason I regularly buy their magazine.

It's also free content for them.

Or just host them somewhere free like Flickr, and get on with it like everyone else does

I don't think a forum counts as content. IMO, ST stick to what they do best (i.e. NOT image hosting) and let Flickr take care of pictures ๐Ÿ™‚
