I reckon they missed a trick not having the handlebars go backwards and forwards as you "pedal"

I've seen a kind of scooter type thing, like that but with only one board to stand on. You had to jump up and down and get the timing just right to move foward. Mad. It was clearly designed as a novelty tho ๐Ÿ™‚

As far as I can make out from reading that website, the principal benefit of that design is that, unlike a normal sitting-down bike, it tones your butt. And I have to admit they have a point. Everyone knows that having a shapely pair of buns will get you further in life than efficient practical transport.

I saw a shop hiring those stepper thingies out, when we were in Lanzarote last year.
