Hope the pic works, they don't usually.

Frame on my commuter cracked and fell in bits so I had a mate weld it, apparently its hard to weld over brazing. Not the prettiest welding I’ve seen but it seems to work ok.

So why does the image appear for a few seconds and vanish?

Peregrine - I had the same thing happen with an image i tried to post a couple of days ago (stealth bikes). Were you using fotopic as well? Are they trying to stopped hotlinking or something?

(oh, and that's great welding!)

Could you have found any bigger cable ties to secure that computer wire?

I also suspect your "mate" might want you dead.

i think the cable tie may be a load bearing structural component

that's asking for trouble. shit welding that's contaminated with brazing filler.
a gusset where it shouldn't be (concentrating stress in one place instead of around the tube)
steel tubes are thin which makes them tricky to weld, looks like a load of birdshit mig or stick work which is not used to weld bike frames.

it will probably be fine 🙂
i wouldn't want to ride it though.

good luck.

Odd that that's a high quality fork crown but the frame doesn't look great...and it's a cheap crap headset.

Impressive! I've never seen welding from someone who is blind before.

Which part did his dog do? 🙄
