Looks great that - bargin for £250! (Edit: Oh I see it's £500)
To retain a nice 'standard'-looking frame the chainstays are longer than some though (like the Kona Honzo for example).

I do not need another bike, even if the frame is a bargain.

*repeats*

250 is a deposit - another 250 to pay for it in full

From Website :

Preorder is 50% of RRP

unless I'm missing something?

Oh I see - did seem cheap.
Main page is a bit misleading though.
Should say £250 deposit.

Yeah, I was already tearing into the order process when I realised.

Very misleading... So there's not actually a discount for pre-ordering!?

Of...off

Sneaky way of phrasing things...

"like the Kona Honzo for example"
I could be misremembering/making this up, but I thought the honzo was single ring specific, ie you cant fit a front mech? I'm not sure

Looks like there'd be room for a front mech on this

There is.

The pics show routing for a front mech 🙂

I normally don't think 29ers look 'right', but that is GORGEOUS. 😛

That's the first 29er I've even looked twice at.

EDIT: Beaten to it! ^^^ Was too busy trying to phrase that correctly, but yes - it does, pretty much, look 'right'.

I think its the high BB (25mm drop vs 70mm on a singular kite) and massive chainring, makes it look like a small wheel bike with short stays.

Blimey I was reaching for my bank card there until I realised the 250 was only a deposit.

Hey guys, just to clarify it's 50% deposit and 50% before shipping, no intention to be misleading I obviously didn't express it as well as I thought I had. You wouldn't have been able to move on through the payment system from the front screen without making the decision to "pay in full" or leave a deposit anyway but I've hopefully made the situation more clear on the site.
Thank you for the Sherpa appreciation guys 🙂
Oh an its a 35t chainring 😉 11-36 cassette and yes you can run a front mech, it's on an E-type mount.

Is there a discount for starting such a nice thread about it?

Will the price likely go up for those who don't pre-order?
or is there a limited number made?

so close to ordering.....

Just to point out that this is incorrect - the BB drop on the Sherpa is 50mm (I checked with Stanton).

looks like a 44mm headtube, not tapered. Has a standard QR in that picture.

I have one of those! (well it's rusting away in a friend's garage)
oh hang on that's an explosif and is probably a bit yellower.

doesn't 44mm mean it can run tapered?
I'm confused

44mm can run tapered forks with an external bottom cup.
