I've been through some old threads, and see that many people put 'fork juice' on stanchions after a wash. I suspect that 'fork juice' is not the technical name of the substance in question.
If it is not, then what exactly is it? Fork oil?
I don't have any fork oil under hand. Will silicon or teflon spray be acceptable? Extra virgin olive oil? Jersey butter?

I think silicon spray is all it is, also heard of people using a bit of wet lube instead

Well I'll be...
Didn't even occur to me that it could be a real thing.

Thanks jools, I'll stick to the silicon spray then.

I've always just carefully wiped mine with some clean kitchen rolls afterwards going UP and away from the seals.

I use Teflon based lube - in my case Finish Line Dry. (I believe that's what TFT recommend too).
Drop it all around the wiper seal, cycle up and down a few times, wipe, repeat.
