[#4803371]

Just booked my place 😀 though camping is sold out so will have to find a space elsewhere 🙁

What are people going to be on then?

Mine's a choice between the '98 IF Deluxe or the drop handlebar Global softail....

I'd get in sooner rather than later as I think place are limited to 200 and it's it's half gone as the initial camping was 100.

Gonna be interesting setting up and tapping a couple of barrels in a camp site after being bounced around in a car for a couple of hours 😆

Pugsley or Karate Monkey?? That is the question, whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of low gearing on the Pug or to take arms against a sea of troubles and stick to the Monkey with a higher gear.............

Nothing. Found out yesterday that its the same weekend I said I'd look after our boys while my wife goes to a university friend's 40th.

Unless I can convince her friend's husband that he wants to go to SSUKG too.

Nothing here too. I've signed up to take my mother and the trouble and strife to Chelsea Flower Show, which is that weekend. I had it in mind, then promised them we'd go, then re-checked the date 🙁

Am tempted by the sound of it but SS bike is still in development.

But will be based on 2005 sworks M5 hardtail with rigid carbon forks, looking forwards to it being finished whether I make it down there or not...

We'll have 40 pints of my homebrew too - any preferences; porter, ipa or epa?

You in Burchy?

well I was gona bring Peggy, but if Pop's bringin his,and Flash is taking a SS pug, which will clearly shame Frankenfat,I may have to spend some time in the shed, and create another vision of SS loveliness .or something.
(goes off to look for big hammer, mig welder, and angle grinder)

evil cackle,etc....

I'd imagine, like in previous years, that my Solitude will get loaded into the car for the journey, and then hardly get ridden for the entire weekend...

This mountain biking lark is great isn't it! 😀

I'll be on a Qoroz belt drive Lefty 29er.
Mrs MTG will be on a Kona Big Unit 29er.
Mrs MTG's daughter won't be riding the event proper, as she's under 18, but will be there with either my old Santa Cruz Blur with gears, or my Lynskey Ridgeline SS 29er.

If all else fails, I'll be carving my own niche and riding the one and only V braked, horizontal dropout 29er with a 120mm rear hub.

Del, I've got a load of brewing equipment, kegs & stuff, I'm not using at the moment if you're serious. They'll be no, SSEC style, pre-start line projectile vomiting from me on this occasion 'cos I'll probably still be on the wagon come May.
