Personally I don't get the whole spend a fortune on a specific ss bike. To me the whole thing about ss bikes is that they are built from the bits that are destined for the bin.

horse for courses...
When I was in southampton it was perfect here in Nice it's a pain, the only thing it's doing it's buggering my knees I'll try to get to the top of the mont chauve but I am not sure I'll make it without pushing.

I am thinking off putting gears back on that sucks because I did like the concept of singlespeed

I have a singlespeed, I just leave my bike in one gear, hey ho, no need to buy a specific bike and look like a tit..

Loverly.

Just starting to consider dropping some weight off the thing.

Carbon Bars, lighter bash and some lightweight tubeless tyres for the dry summer that's on its way. 🙂

can probably only manage 28lbs with the chain device still on. But i'd be happy with that.

A long way from your 25lb El Ciclon i'm afraid.

The Cotic soul is getting as much hammer as the Ventana X5 at the moment, easier to clean and never stops making me smile. It's a great Bike

Walking, the new ss, no wait.... many singlespeeders have already got this one covered from what I have seen...

There, you see, ss'ers are always ahead of the curve...

just remember s/s only lose out on the climbs and the downhills and the flat

I reckon I'm quicker climbing on my s/s with no cop-out gears to make things easier and check out the times in the results of chainless d/h races - not a lot of difference you just gotta learn not to brake. Riding on the flat? Where's the fun in that 😉

So there is a need for a specific bike to look like a tit then. [:P]

now aren't you the fella with that bike that looks like it was fashioned from a wire coat hanger?
