Makes perfect economic sense. Release an Uber-expensive groupset (does anyone think that mech is going to be under 200 notes?) aimed at a micro niche of racers in the middle of a recession...

way shimano prices are going the choice would be Deore or XX!

You can already get Campagnolo Record shifters for the price of Tiagra!

Maybe Campagnolo should start doing some MTB stuff again.

Double tap is okay on a road bike, I'd be interested to see if it would work with all the bumping around on a trail.

So basically it's a 10 speed cassette, and a double chainset and a shiny groupset. Albeit a very expensive one I suspect...

I though the "journos" were hinting it'd be a lightweight Hammersmidt-type front chainset.

Poppa - can you imagine a Campag 11-speed mtb groupo?!

I've been expecting more Fulcrum MTB kit since their wheels came out.
An mtb carbon triple chainset with mtb version of Campagnolo bottom bracket as much as anything else. It would mean the ability to have a narrower q-factor (pedal stance width) and would be fine with a lot of hardtails with 68mm bottom brackets.
I'd buy one.
Then slowly but surely front mech, then rear mech.....
