Any suggestions why this is happening?
Full SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain on a new bike and the chain has snapped 3 times in about 600km of trail/xc riding.
Otherwise the shifting is faultless, smooth and silent. It's happened when shifting but not under high load.
Same chain, or different ones. I bin any chain that snaps as there could be damage to other links. Is it genuine SRAM. I only get chains via bike stores on-line or physical.
It's a genuine chain on a new Vitus Escarpe. I have used quick links to fix it, so it's now well patched, but it's not snapping at the link.
I'm not mashing the gears when shifting. I've come from 11 speed GX and only snapped a chain once in thousands of Km.
I'm going to have to bite the bullet and splash out on a new X01 chain. They're quite spendy!

Yep, and buy it from somewhere reputable. Don't be tempted by cheaper ones on Amazon.
It's a warranty job. Any SRAM dealer should be able to sort it now Vitus are gone. The last SRAM 12 speed chain I bought did this.
If you're buying a replacement rather than warrantying it, get a KMC from somewhere reputable to avoid it happening again.
SRAM has faulty chains now and then. Best Ive seen (at work) was cracked at 12 different links, ridden 500 km and not on an e-bike. Customer came in, said "I snapped the chain, can you put in a new link", I check the chain and find all those other cracks.
Make a warranty claim.
it's a chain on a new bike from CRC, so warranty is no longer possible with them. It actually snapped on the first ride (when CRC still existed), I wish now I'd made a warranty claim 😒
Anyhow, I've ordered a new X01 chain to pickup at my LBS so I'll take in the old chain and see if they'll be kind enough to warranty it for me with SRAM.
