[#12726535]

Who has any little tips? I have two bikes set up with these brakes and I am damned if I can get the back ones right. Always a bit more lever pull than the front.
Fronts seem to be easy and although I replicate everything at the back nowt really works.
I have tried all sorts of variations on the standard method. grrrrr

You and me both - really tricky - apparently easier with 2 people and with the caliper removed... My AXS button squashes my fingers when I pull the brakes from the hoods on the rear brake. Does my head in.
I've got to do it next week... Ugh.

From experience of bleeding absolute shedloads of Avids and Srams over the years, I can tell you it takes a lot longer to do it properly than thair blurb suggests. First thing I always do is excercise the pistons (clean & lube with silicone first if they're not new), and when you're sucking out the bubbles, don't stop when the instructions tell you, keep going for a good 10 minutes more (a series of short fast pulls, followed by one long, drawn out one seemed to work best).

Another vote for removing the rear caliper and hanging it below the chainstays.

Caliper off, clean the pistons and seals, and check you've got the reach adjuster all the way out for bleeding, then get them level afterwards using it (although it's a bit vague feeling between the 4 positions but it does work).

I do most of my maintenance myself, but my gravel bike is currently with my LBS to bleed the (SRAM Force) brakes and put a new gear cable (inner & outer) in...

Been at it for ages. Spent an hour on one with the calpier on the floor ro try to get a flow with no down hills. It has to be something to do with it being the rear as I do the front ones perfectly every time and never get the rears right. I have never sent a bike to a shop before in over 50 years apart from a rear shock to Mojo in 06. This may be the first.
