Interestingly someones gone and built a bike with a spokeless wheel ( rear only ) so prehaps all the bike designs that have them are gonna come closer to reality

Gorgeous and practical!
Just because it's possible to build such a thing doesn't actually make it a good idea (I'm sure it's not the first time somebody has built one, but I'm not wasting my time googling for something so stupid).
There's a reason we still use spoked wheels.
Can't see any benefits to that, extra weight/reduced strength & possibly higher rolling resistance.
Looks cool on that chopper mind!
What was the poin of that.
if the bearing was at the bottom just obove the contact patch it would make more sense to me,, thats fast work for students ๐
How would you fix a puncture/change the tyre?
anyone who's first tag is 'awesome' will not be hired. Pigugly too
How would you fix a puncture/change the tyre?
i'm sure the designer has thought of practicalities such as that ๐
But as a proof of concept, why not? At leat it works unlike the Boardman concept.
How many people objected to pedal cycles because they went too fast?
