Ah

Have a rear Hope Sport disk on a mavic xc717 rim, 3 cross pattern, 32h. Now I cannot remember what spoke lenghts I used when I built it up. NOw wanting to rebuild, spoke length calculators suggest 262.5 and 263, but when I measure both driveand non-0drive spokes physically stripped out the wheel they both approxiumate to 260mm.

Any guidance / experience out there?

Cheers!

What about the spoke nipples? Most calculators default to 16mm nipples but others are available - notably Chain Reaction have, IME, always supplied 18mm (which would reduce your spoke length by 2mm).

you can buy 144 spokes form Ebay these days for about £30

ACI stainless double butted.

Alternatively I have some 262mm spokes. brand new with nipples.

I can sell you some if you want. 25p each?

Maybe I've got my nipple lengths wrong, are they 12/14 normally? Ach, it's been a while since I built wheels. CR definitely used to use(d) 2mm longer than most, anyway.
