The front end on my MTBhad been creaking for a while, I'd stripped it and found nothing. Got an event on Saturday so thought I'd have another look. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Somehow I've managed to split the bottom cup horizontally. Any ideas how?

Its a Hope headset, second bike its been in and about 6 years old - bearing was fine ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe it was pressed in without the adaptor to fit inside it. Like, just the base section of Park press on it's own and a combination of too little material in one area.Who knowzzz.

One for all those people who bosh their headsets in with a 4x2.

Cool! My Hope has the thinnest sidewalls I've ever seen on a headset, it's of a similiar vintage... Though not so much that I've ever thought of it as an issue.
