whats the difference? all models of glasses seem to have the two different lense types available?
is it simply the adaptalites are for sun/daytime
and the nxt ones are for night time just clear lenses??
cheers
Nxt are tinted, adaptalite are photochromic and adjust to changing light levels.
Yellow are for MTBing, pink are for road. Pink cover a slightly darker spectrum and enhance red, whilst the yellow ones enhance green.
njee - these are the ones, would they suffice at night? my mates after a cheap pair for night as hes just lost his! doesnt want the adaptalite ones as they go silly dull/dark in the dark.....just wants a clear sort of pair for darker nights...
cheers dudee!
I thought NXT was the material, it's bullet proof isn't it? I'm sure mine are both.
You're right, but for whatever reason they tend to refer to the non-adaptalite ones as NXT specifically, in fact the product title for those says non-adaptalite.
They won't be good in the dark, they're fixed at the same transmission rate as the darkest the Adaptalite ones go. You can get clear clenses for some of the Spesh glasses, I forget which frankly.
yeah the lenses do seem different although confusing as stated....
the nxt non adaptalites are fixed looking at that, whereas the adaptalite ones ermmm adapt....
i just wondered what 'setting' the non adaptalite ones are set for, i thought they were specific night ones, knowing the adaptalite covers all sunny aspects but looks like im wrong 🙁
No, they are set for the darkest level of transmission.
If you glasses for the dark, get clear. Madison do some £15 jobs that'll do.
