I was thinking about getting a second set of chunkier wheels/rubber for my v1 Camino

What do you guys use?

Is there a cheap(ish) way of doing this?

Find someone selling those oh so outdated 27.5 non-boost mtb wheels without 30mm ID, that's what I did, managed to pick up a pair of DT XR1501 with 25mm rims for £230 last year.

I need the 9mm quick release version.

What is 30mm ID?

a wide rim 30mm internal diametre, as momo says find some old mtb wheels that have a 23-25mm rim width

diametre

Not really, as diameter is:

It is internal width, and I'm only guessing, "D" in "ID" stands for "dimension".

Cheers!
I.

Superstar wheels are cheapish (£160 up).
Also have replaceable end caps so you can convert to through axle later for a different bike. Not used myself but they do show stock which is a plus!

You're limited somewhat with regards to tyre width on V1 and V1 forks, certainly the standard Al ones - I had a WTB Venture 47mm on the front of mine and it's tighter than a gnat's chuff. I've just swapped back to 700c wheels and 40mm Nanos.

Having said that, the 47mm Byways were ok.
