Hello, everyone
(I think this is my maiden post?)
I've been riding a medium Cotic BFe for just over a year now. Since then I've also built up a medium Cove Handjob this year for more XC fun (in theory it started as a budget ss hack, Inbred etc but that's a whole other post...). I have found though that the Handjob with a 120 fork hasn't held me back on anything. I wasn't any slower on the Black at Laggan, which is one of my favorite trails, than on the Hustler or the BFe with a 160 fork. I obviously wouldn't DH or jump on it unlike the BFe, but it is incredibly fun and feels like it's made of elastic as i pin it over techy singletrack. The Cove geometry just works for me and the BFe feels really clumsy now (trying various fork lengths between 120-160). It would pain me to sell the BFe, even though it's partially redundant.
My thoughts are to go for another BFe in small or extra-small, as per their purpose, and keep him for downright silliness.
I'm 5'10", so obviously the small would be fine due to the super-long TT's, but how about the XS? Paul has since replied intimating the XS would probably be OK. Anybody here riding one? I'd swap between a for 36 Van and a Pike. I can imagine an XS would look peculiar with a 160 fork on it?
Cheers for any thoughts,
Craig
