As the title suggests, is it just the Flows or are there better options?

I have the american classic AM wheels, very solid, no issues so far (touch wood, 2 yrs so far).
Bought from CTBM I might add, who was most helpful with an axle issue. Excellent chap.

what are you looking to do on them? I've been ragging the Arch's over the last month and they're plenty strong!
just general riding really, the DT Swiss XR400s that came on the bike have a big dent in the rear after 3 days in Wales

Hmmm - rims (all of them) dent if you hit them hard with a rock, if you inflate your tyres properly (clearly harder than they are right now) and or ride more smoothly your rim will be less likely to hit the rocks and therefore dent.
As to new rims, Mavic are probably bullet proof,
stans flow and arch are nice, DT are also good as are pacentini.

Despite having never "pranged" a wheel I own two pairs of Flow rims - one 26" one 29"
I like the extra support the give the tyres and despite running pretty low pressures they are still 100% true.
I've also never experienced an issues getting a tyre on or off.
Slight weight penalty over the Arch but not a huge amount.
I would happily buy another pair when needed.
On a side note I also run DT470s. Not great with tyres over 2.1" but cheap as chips and not too heavy either.
